False Gods
A mythological dark fantasy universe where fallen deities reshape reality
Overview
False Gods began as a personal exploration into what happens when the divine abandons morality. The project spans brand identity, environmental concept art, character design, and motion pieces — all unified under a singular visual language of decayed grandeur and crimson-lit cathedrals.
Lore
In the age before memory, twelve gods shaped the world from void and starlight. When the Pantheon fractured, their divine essence seeped into mortal realms — corrupting landscapes, rewriting history, and birthing creatures that exist between worship and horror.
Visual Identity
The identity system draws from Byzantine architecture, baroque religious art, and modern brutalist typography. Deep crimson serves as the divine accent against void black and bone white.
Visual Identity
Design Philosophy
Every visual decision serves the narrative. Ornamentation is never decorative — it tells a story of decline. Light is scarce and precious. Scale is used to evoke awe and dread in equal measure.
